Customer Reviews

The African Queen Cruise was one of the highlights or our stay in the region. Our group of five highly recommends the Captain's Cabin. The Captain and the mate took great care of us with refreshments and small bites. Also was able to get the heads up when animals such as Elephants, Hippos, Crocs, Birds and etc were coming up. It was quaint and relaxing and we didn't have to cram with other guest to get a great view of what was going on. Just an all around great experience. - Jon

Had a very good trip and service was amazing. Five stars - Martin

The Captain's Cabin cruise was a favourite activity during our time in Livingstone, Zambia. From the moment we were picked up from our hotel and transported to the wharf, we felt we were having a special experience. Our view from the top deck of the cruise vessel afforded us a commanding view of the Zambezi - seeing hippos, crocodiles and birdlife - which enhanced the journey. We received a personal and courteous service from Harrison meant we had more than adequate food and drink for our dining pleasure. The sunset and expanse of the Zambezi and the cruise will remain in our memories for years to come. Beth & Ian - Beth

We had the absolute best experience onboard this boat! The staff and captain were incredibly friendly, knowledgable and helpful. We booked this experience for my dad's 60th birthday and he was over the moon. Will be recommending this to anyone we know travelling to Livingstone. - Rachele

We were advised that when boarding started to try and get on the upper deck but reading reviews we decided that for a little extra we would book in the Captain's Cabin and we are so pleased that we did!! We were the only ones there, so there were the 2 of us, the Captain and the Butler who was so attentive but never in your face, our glasses were never empty and the snacks were delicious!! Especially pleased that I informed them ahead of time that my wife is vegetarian, they really looked after her!! The Captain was very informative and chatted to us the whole trip pointing out hippos and crocodiles. It was raining but totally undercover and was one of the best trips we have ever done. We were picked up in a private mini bus by Paul the Captain and Alex our driver and transferred to the boat, where we embarked immediately and had a glass of Champagne in our hands before anyone else arrived for boarding. When the trip ended Alex was waiting to return us to our hotel again just the 2 of us. A huge thank you to Paul the Captain, Stafford the Butler and Alex the driver, they made our trip for us!! Only word of caution I can say is that if you have a mobility problem the stairs up to the Captain's cabin are very steep and are almost a ladder,my wife was pleased she was not wearing a dress!! - Brian
