Customer Reviews

We had a great time on the African Queen Sunset Cruise. Luckily for us, the terminal was right next to our Lodge/Hotel, so we could walk to it in under 5 minutes (we could also walk back but were told to keep an eye out for Elephants that could be on the road in the evening !). We arrived at the terminal to be greeted by a very friendly Daphne who explained how it all worked and escorted us to the African Queen. We boarded and were shown to our seats and were then very well looked after by one of the hostesses - Florence, who kept us supplied with drinks (pretty much whatever you wanted and as much as you liked) and a stream of delicious nibbles. On the 2 hour cruise, we were told all about the local wildlife and the Zambezi river. We saw Hippos, Crocodile, Elephants and a number of different bird species. And of course, we saw the sunset over the river - a beautiful vivid red. This was an excellent trip and well worth the money - highly recommended. - Kevin Collins

We had a amazing time on the African Queen. We had excellent service from the staff. An unforgettable experience. I will recommend it to all. - Albert Geldenhuys

Really, really enjoyed ourselves on this trip. Taken by minibus from our hotel direct to the boat (African Queen), facilities at landing stage excellent. Staff really friendly and well turned out. Standard of service excellent. All drinks are included in the price (as much as you want) and the "snacks and nibbles" were actually quite substantial. Decor on board is lovely with wood panelling and comfy seating positioned so that you can see the wildlife along the river and river bank well. Got to see crocodile, hippo and elephant as well as numerous birds. Watching the sunset over the Zambezi is quite spectacular. Thoroughly recommend this trip and although it does seem expensive when booking in the UK, it is good value for money. - Martin Concannon

We had a great trip. The waiter was very attentive and welcoming and we enjoyed the commentary of the history and geography of the area. The boat was very comfortable and we enjoyed the cool drinks. The snacks were OK. It was a very relaxing trip and a great way to unwind. Thank you Susan Gosling - Susan Gosling

Cruise very enjoyable and great sightings of hippo. The return trip felt a bit rushed - Thilo Schindler

Customer Reviews

Good day Due to the fact that you have ,,only" one Microlight plane we had to wait nearly one hour before we could start. Anyway, it was an absolutely great experience and I will recommend it to everyone. NB: Beside I would like to remember you to send me the pictures as well as the video about my flight per email as you promised it to me already on 05.02. I've already paid USD 45 for it (please see attached) but nothing received as yet. Many greetings from cold and rainy Germany Volker - Volker Wolf

Great experience! Definitely recommend for anyone visiting the falls - Macarena

The microlight got canceled so I took the helicopter ride. Pilot was amazing! Such a smooth take off and landing. Great experience all around! - Brittany Keller

A once-in-a-lifetime experience with Batoka Sky! My pilot was super informative and put any nerves I had at ease. Though the water was low over the Falls, it was still an incredible view to soar above them and circle nearby, even seeing elephants and hippos. - Alexandra Ernst

Trip of a lifetime. Once we arrived at Batoka Sky the process was very well organised and the staff kept everyone informed and well prepared. When our time came, the ground staff ensured we were safely strapped in and miked-up to the pilot, and before you know it you’re taking off and soaring through the mists of Victoria Falls. Incredible experience - an absolute must if you can. My 12-year old children also had a flight and it was the highlight of our while African adventure. Thank you. Comments/suggestions: Would be nice to have a cup of coffee included whilst waiting for your flight. Also, it would have been good to receive a confirmation email or WhatsApp msg once payment made with FULL explanation of booking and pick-up arrangements, as I was a little unsure whether anyone was going to turn up at the Zim border. Also our return taxi didn’t show up and caused a little problem at the time but it was resolved (but at our expense). Would have been better to have one vehicle for the transfer (from Zimbabwe border to Batoka Sky) as we weren’t sure what was going on and we’re left hanging around at the border which was a little unnerving. Not a complaint - just a comment for your information. Brilliant morning. - Dawn Richards
